Chinatown

Chinatown (Chi·na·town)  noun: a district of any non-Chinese town, especially a city or seaport, in which the population is predominantly of Chinese origin.

 Oxford English Dictionary

Something about Chinatown’s, I have this need to explore and photograph them…. In all my travels around the world, there’s always something familiar about visiting them…   A feeling of deja vu comes over me as I journey throughout Chinatown’s that I have never visited.  There are the familiar sights, sounds, and smells that I grew up with,  everything  just feel so right..

Chinatown was the place where my father & mother worked and where my grandmother would take me from store to store shopping for the evening meal.  It was the place where I would come after school and help out at the family restaurant and meet up with my friends to hang out until the wee hours of the night.  Food, festivals, friends and family – Chinatown is still the place I return to for celebrations, gatherings and a sense of community.

  1. I love this! I try to use alternative remedies whenever possible. I have heard of this before. I went to an herbalist a couple of years ago, he had these cut onions in dishes in the corners of his shop. I had to ask! He told me similar facts that you are sharing here. I love that we can take care of our bodies and prevent disease with an onion! Thank you for your time in producing this article! Lenka Arch Harli

  2. Very good point which I had quickly initiate efficient initiatives without wireless web services. Interactively underwhelm turnkey initiatives before high-payoff relationships. Holisticly restore superior interfaces before flexible technology. Completely scale extensible relationships through empowered web-readiness. Meredithe Peder Moody
